The compact flow heaters are ideal for direct heating of various liquids. There are 2 types: a round version with fixed rod elements and a
rectangular version with a removable insert element. The temperature control can be integrated into the housing (thermostat controller /
limiter combination) or an external electronic control can be applied. The stainless steel design ensures high reliability and long service life.
Round version (type R)
The flow heater is equipped with rod elements that are directly soldered into the flow heater. Various versions are possible (230V or 400V, with or without
temperature limiter in the connection box). The standard range of the temperature controller is 25-70°C. The limiter switches off the flow heater at 98°C.
Square version (type VK)
The flow heater is equipped with a 1½” insert element. The heating elements of the insert element are soldered into a stainless steel screw head.
The flow heater is soldered in an oven with nickel-based solder and an inert gas to improve corrosion protection.
The connection box on the insert element can be rotated to the desired position by the customer after installation. The insert element is standard a 400V 3-phase star version. Other
versions are also possible. The standard range of the temperature controller is 30-85°C. The limiter switches off the flow heater at 110°C.
Application
The flow heater can be used for water, aqueous liquids, or low-viscosity liquids up to 100°C. The application of other media (oil etc.) is also possible with a
customized design.
